Bandai Namco at NYCC 2026: Tamagotchi, Godzilla, Gundam, Dragon Ball & More

New York Comic Con 2026 was a big year for Bandai Namco, with the company bringing together anime, gaming, collectibles and some of its biggest franchises across multiple experiences throughout the convention.

RadioAnime had the opportunity to explore Bandai Namco's presence at NYCC and speak with Justin, who gave us a look at some of the highlights fans could experience throughout the show.

From Tamagotchi's 30th anniversary and NYCC exclusives to Godzilla, Gundam, Dragon Ball, PAC-MAN, ACE COMBAT and GASHAPON, Bandai Namco had something for just about every type of fan.

A Big Year for Bandai Namco at NYCC

When we asked Justin what Bandai Namco had planned for this year's New York Comic Con, his answer made it clear that the company came prepared.

“We got a lot. We brought a lot of things to the table.”

One of the major highlights was Tamagotchi, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Justin spoke with us from the top of TAMASHII NATIONS booth, where fans could see a variety of collectibles and NYCC exclusives.

Among the highlights were Burning Godzilla, Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Luffy, giving collectors plenty to check out.

But collectibles were only one part of Bandai Namco's NYCC presence.

Tamagotchi Celebrates 30 Years

Another major milestone for Bandai this year is Tamagotchi's 30th anniversary.

Having Tamagotchi featured prominently at NYCC gave fans an opportunity to celebrate three decades of the iconic virtual pet while checking out the latest products and collectibles.

It was especially fitting to see the anniversary represented at a convention where fans from so many different generations come together.

Gaming Experiences: Gundam and ACE COMBAT

Gaming was also a major part of Bandai Namco's NYCC presence.

Fans could get hands-on with GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, with a simulator-style setup that allowed attendees to experience the game in a more immersive way.

Also available to play was ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF LIBERTY, giving fans the opportunity to get behind the controls and experience the latest entry in the long-running flight combat series.

Having both titles available to play gave Bandai Namco's booth a much more interactive feel. Instead of simply looking at displays, fans could actually sit down and experience the games for themselves.

PAC-MAN: Snack Breaks

PAC-MAN also had a presence at the Bandai Namco booth with PAC-MAN: Snack Breaks.

The activation brought the iconic character into the NYCC experience while giving fans another opportunity to interact with one of Bandai Namco's most recognizable gaming properties.

With PAC-MAN joining Gundam, ACE COMBAT and the company's many anime and collectible properties, the booth offered a surprisingly broad mix of gaming experiences.

Gundam, Dragon Ball and More

The Bandai Namco experience continued throughout the show floor.

In addition to the playable GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT experience, fans could explore Bandai's Gundam presence and see displays highlighting the franchise.

Bandai's Dragon Ball booth offered a full walkthrough experience featuring model kits, card games and other activities for fans to explore.

For anime and model-kit fans, the combination of displays and hands-on experiences made the area especially interesting to explore.

Godzilla Takes Over NYCC

Of course, we couldn't talk about Bandai Namco's NYCC presence without talking about Godzilla.

We pointed out to Justin just how incredible it is to see a character with decades of history continue to remain such a major part of pop culture.

Justin agreed:

“How cool is that? We got a new movie coming out, then we got another movie coming out — Legendary, the MonsterVerse. It is a good time to be a fan right now.”

Bandai's Godzilla booth gave fans the opportunity to take photos and even meet Godzilla, making it one of the more interactive experiences on the show floor.

Justin also highlighted the connection between the Japanese and U.S. markets, with Godzilla continuing to reach fans on both sides of the world.

GASHAPON Brings the Capsule Toy Experience

Bandai Namco also brought its GASHAPON experience to NYCC.

Fans could spin the machines and discover a wide variety of capsule toys, collectibles and adorable characters.

The GASHAPON booth added another interactive element to Bandai's presence, giving attendees something they could actually participate in rather than simply viewing displays.

A Franchise for Every Fan

One thing that stood out during our conversation with Justin was just how broad Bandai Namco's lineup has become.

As we talked about the many different properties Bandai Namco had represented at NYCC — from Godzilla and Gundam to Dragon Ball, Tamagotchi, PAC-MAN, ACE COMBAT and GASHAPON — Justin summed up the company's wide-ranging lineup:

“We have something for everyone.”

And after walking through the different Bandai Namco experiences, it was hard to disagree.

Why NYCC Is Special for Bandai Namco

During our conversation, Justin also shared how much he enjoys being in New York and the atmosphere surrounding the convention.

His answer was simple:

“I love NYC. I love the energy, the hustle. It's just one of the top shows of the year for us.”

That energy was definitely noticeable throughout the Bandai Namco booths, with fans constantly moving between the different experiences, displays, games and collectibles.

For a company with such a wide range of franchises, NYCC provides the perfect environment to bring all of those fandoms together in one place.
