League of Legends Worlds 2026: T1 Eliminates Karmine Corp as Semifinal Matchups Are Set

The semifinal lineup for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship is officially complete. T1 defeated Karmine Corp 3–1 in Friday's final quarterfinal, securing the last remaining spot and keeping its championship defense alive.

The result follows another major upset on Thursday, when Bilibili Gaming swept Dplus KIA 3–0, eliminating one of the tournament's strongest Swiss Stage performers.

With four teams remaining, Worlds 2026 now moves into semifinal weekend. Gen.G will face Invictus Gaming on Saturday, while T1 takes on Bilibili Gaming on Sunday. Both matches will determine who advances to the Grand Final.

T1 Defeats Karmine Corp 3–1 to Reach the Semifinals

T1 secured a 3–1 victory over Europe's Karmine Corp in the final quarterfinal series on November 6 in Allen, Texas.

The defending world champions entered the matchup as favorites, but Karmine Corp had already demonstrated its ability to challenge established teams after fighting through the Play-In Stage and Swiss Stage.

T1 ultimately proved too strong, closing out the best-of-five series and advancing to the final four.

For T1, the victory represents another important step toward a historic achievement. The organization is pursuing its fourth consecutive World Championship title and seventh overall.

Karmine Corp's Worlds journey comes to an end with a top-eight finish. Despite the elimination, the European organization made an impressive run after having to qualify through the Play-In Stage.

Yesterday: Bilibili Gaming Sweeps Dplus KIA 3–0

Thursday's quarterfinal delivered one of the biggest results of the Knockout Stage so far.

Bilibili Gaming defeated Dplus KIA 3–0, ending the Korean team's tournament run despite its impressive performance during the Swiss Stage.

Dplus KIA had entered the quarterfinals with a perfect 3–0 Swiss Stage record, having won every series without dropping a match. However, BLG completely changed the story in their best-of-five encounter.

The Chinese squad controlled objectives, won crucial teamfights, and consistently pressured Dplus KIA across all three games.

One of the most impressive statistics from the series was BLG's control of the map. The team secured 14 of the 15 dragons and all four Barons, while finishing with a reported 62–28 advantage in kills.

Viper and XUN were among the standout performers, helping BLG dismantle a team that had looked nearly unstoppable earlier in the tournament.

The victory also represents a remarkable turnaround for BLG. After struggling through the Swiss Stage and needing all five rounds to qualify for the Knockout Stage, the LPL representatives have now eliminated Dplus KIA and secured their semifinal position.
