Marvel and Japanese publishing giant KADOKAWA are bringing five iconic Marvel characters into the world of manga with the launch of five new series on KADOKAWA's Kadocomi digital manga platform.
Announced by KADOKAWA on November 6, the five projects are part of the MARVEL | KADOKAWA collaboration, which was originally introduced during the Marvel Comics: House of Ideas panel at New York Comic Con 2026.
The lineup includes Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Deadpool, and Iron Man, with each series receiving its own manga interpretation and creative direction from Japanese artists.
All five series are now available on Kadocomi, with the first half of each opening chapter offered for free. KADOKAWA also confirmed plans to publish collected volumes after the digital serialization.
Five Marvel Manga Series Now Available
The new lineup brings together a mixture of original storytelling and manga adaptations of established Marvel stories.
1. Spider-Man: Shibuya Cross Line
Manga by: tokitokoro
Perhaps the most interesting project in the collection is Spider-Man: Shibuya Cross Line, which introduces an entirely new Spider-Man story set in Japan.
The story follows Haruto Hachidori, a high school student who gains spider-like abilities after being bitten by a spider at a shrine. When a series of murders begins occurring around the Tokyo area, Haruto investigates and encounters Daredevil, a lawyer and masked hero who fights criminals who escape justice through the legal system.
The two heroes eventually find themselves targeted by a mysterious individual driven by revenge.
Unlike the other four projects, this is an original Spider-Man story created specifically for the collaboration, introducing a new Japanese protagonist and bringing Daredevil into the story.
2. Spider-Gwen: Her Big Debut | The Manga
Manga by: Ryūsei Yamada
Gwen Stacy takes the spotlight in Spider-Gwen: Her Big Debut, a manga adaptation following her transformation into the superhero known as Ghost-Spider.
After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Gwen gains extraordinary abilities and begins protecting her city while trying to manage the challenges of everyday life.
Her responsibilities extend beyond fighting criminals. She must also deal with conflicts involving her father, who works as a police officer, while balancing school and her activities as a member of a band.
The series brings Spider-Gwen's familiar superhero identity into a Japanese manga format, combining action with the personal struggles of a teenage hero.
3. Venom: Lethal Protector | The Manga
Manga by: Peperon
Venom receives his own manga adaptation through Venom: Lethal Protector.
The story centers on Eddie Brock, a newspaper reporter who has lost his job, reputation, and direction in life. His circumstances change when he encounters an extraterrestrial symbiote with a deep hatred for Spider-Man.
Sharing a common desire for revenge, Eddie and the symbiote form a bond that eventually creates Venom.
The manga explores the origins of one of Marvel's most recognizable antiheroes, presenting the character's transformation through Japanese manga storytelling.
4. Deadpool: Millionaire with a Mouth | The Manga
Manga by: Hōsuke Momoi
Deadpool gets a very different kind of story in Deadpool: Millionaire with a Mouth.
Wade Wilson begins as a relatively obscure mercenary, but his life changes dramatically after joining the Avengers. He becomes a globally recognized superstar, with merchandise selling rapidly and his bank account filling up.
With requests and opportunities arriving from around the world, Deadpool establishes his own operation, called Deadpool Heroes for Hire, in an attempt to handle the overwhelming demand.
The concept puts a comedic spin on the character's personality, imagining what happens when the Merc with a Mouth becomes a wealthy international celebrity.
5. Iron Man: I Am Iron Man | The Manga
Manga by: TERU
The final title brings Tony Stark into the manga lineup with Iron Man: I Am Iron Man.
This project adapts the story of the original 2008 Iron Man film, revisiting the events that lead to Tony Stark becoming the armored superhero.
Stark is introduced as both a scientist and the head of a major weapons company. During a demonstration of his company's military technology in Afghanistan, he is attacked by a terrorist organization, setting the stage for the events that transform his life.
The manga offers another way for fans to experience the origin story that helped launch the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A Different Approach to Marvel Storytelling
One of the most interesting aspects of the MARVEL | KADOKAWA collaboration is how the five projects approach their characters.
Rather than simply retelling the same stories in a different art style, the lineup combines a completely new Japanese Spider-Man adventure with adaptations of established Marvel material.
Spider-Man: Shibuya Cross Line introduces a new protagonist and a Tokyo-based setting, while Spider-Gwen explores Gwen Stacy's life as a student and superhero. Venom revisits Eddie Brock's transformation, Deadpool takes a comedic approach to fame and wealth, and Iron Man adapts the story of the 2008 film.
The collaboration also brings together five manga artists with different creative approaches, giving each Marvel character a distinct visual identity.
Where to Read the Five Marvel Manga
All five series are available through Kadocomi, KADOKAWA's digital manga platform.
The first half of the first chapter of each series is available to read for free. Readers can find the complete lineup through the official MARVEL | KADOKAWA collection page.
KADOKAWA has also confirmed that collected volumes are planned following the digital serialization.
At the time of the November 6 announcement, the publisher had not announced an English-language print or digital release for these five manga. The confirmed launch is through the Japanese Kadocomi platform.

Marvel and Japanese Manga Continue to Come Together
The launch of these five titles represents another major collaboration between American superhero storytelling and Japanese manga creators.
With Spider-Man receiving an original story set in Shibuya, Deadpool becoming a millionaire celebrity, Venom revisiting his origins, and Iron Man receiving a manga adaptation of his first film, the collection offers several different ways to experience familiar Marvel characters.
For fans of both Marvel and Japanese manga, the MARVEL | KAD
